SEO can be very complicated – There are many books about SEO you can read from beginner to advance professional.
I am going to try to describe the essence of SEO in a few words – hence the title of this article SEO in a Nutshell
It’s my opinion that the SEO is an ever changing set of procedural techniques and the mechanic to manipulate placement of text and keywords. The purpose is to appeal to the search engines, (primarily Google) to quantify what’s popular and relevant, so people can get what their looking for.
SEO professionals are constantly asking the question, “Why is my search result not more visible?” or “Why am I not getting more traffic from my website?” or “Why am I not getting more phone calls or emails?” All this SEO stuff boils down to writing content your target audience will want to read, they feel is important and will coincides with their interests. The search engines try to determine the :willingness to read a piece of content” by how many times it’s mentioned or linked or cited using keyword as a reference.
As you know, the primary reason visitors go to a website or an Internet property is to seek information or answers to questions. The highest priority and ultimate objective is to write content that resonates with the target audience to make them do something, feel something or take action. That’s why my company’s name is Creative Web Actions. My job is to use my creative talents using web technology to get people to feel a certain way or think about something or provoke a planned human reaction. SEO in a Nutshell is getting a website visitor to pick up a phone to call the business or fill out an on-line form or write a email.
